Sanjeev Kumar, Muzaffarpur. Senior Superintendent of Police Kantesh Kumar Mishra has suspended Turki police station incharge Sandeep Kumar Mahato and Paru police station incharge Chandan Kumar with immediate effect. This information was given by issuing a press release from the SSP office at around 12 o'clock on Thursday night.
It was told that during the inspection of SSP and SDPO West II, serious irregularities were found in Türkiye police station. During the inspection, it was confirmed that Turkish police station incharge Sandeep Kumar Mahato had kept the person locked up without any complaint and kept the court's warrant and attachment pending.
Apart from this, in the report submitted by the Superintendent of Police (Rural), negligence was found in not making proper security arrangements for the exhibits related to Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.
Considering the above acts as negligence towards duty, inaction and suspicious conduct, Türkiye Police Station Head Sandeep Kumar Mahato has been suspended with immediate effect. Apart from this, on the instructions of the Director General of Police, the case of murder of Jitendra Kumar Bhagat that took place last year in Paru police station area was reviewed by the SSP.
In the review, in a serious and sensitive case like murder, serious negligence was found like the accused not being arrested even after seven months, warrant not being obtained and statement of the injured independent witness not being recorded. Due to the above reasons, Paru police station incharge Chandan Kumar has been suspended with immediate effect.
