State Bureau, New Delhi. Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has started work on another big plan to revamp the banks of the capital Yamuna and promote environment-friendly traffic. DDA is constructing a 21 km long cycle track and walking paths in the Yamuna floodplain.
Recently LG VK Saxena inspected these projects and directed the officials to complete the work within the time limit. He said that this will not only provide a new means of entertainment to the people of Delhi, but will also help in reviving the ecosystem of Yamuna.
When will it be ready?
Work on the first phase of the project is progressing rapidly and it is expected that a large part of it will be opened to the general public in the coming few months. The entire corridor is likely to be ready by the end of 2026.
