Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni said that now disabled people have also been included in the Chief Minister Udyami Yojana. The government will provide them self-employment opportunities. Also, under the Chief Minister Civil Services Incentive Scheme, an incentive amount ranging from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 1 lakh will be given to the disabled.
The minister said that the government will open residential schools for deaf-mute and blind students in every division. At present, there is provision for education in these schools till class 8th, which will be extended till class 12th. The capacity of these schools will be up to 500 students.
During a conversation with NDA workers at the government guest house, the minister said that now the job of the opposition in Bihar is only to contest elections. There is no visible activity from the opposition parties and their leaders after the elections. After the elections, the opposition leaders are taking rest, while Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going among the people and worrying about their happiness and sorrow.
During his visit to Muzaffarpur, the Minister also participated in the distribution ceremony of free state-of-the-art artificial limbs on behalf of Bharat Vikas Parishad in Bela Industrial Area. Said that initiative is being taken towards manufacturing of artificial limbs in Bela industrial area, so that the disabled people will be able to get facilities at the local level.
