Defense Expo at Adityapur Auto Cluster on 16–17 January. photo awakening
Communication partner, Adityapur. Defense Expo will be organized at Adityapur Auto Cluster on 16 and 17 January at Adityapur in Seraikela Kharsawan district.
Its objective is to connect local MSME industries with the defense sector and provide them new business opportunities. The event is being organized by Adityapur Small Industries Association (Asia), Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Laghu Udyog Bharti.
Asia President Inder Aggarwal, General Secretary Praveen Gutgutia, Vice President Devang Gandhi and Secretary Ashok Gupta met Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth on Wednesday. In this meeting, important suggestions and demands were put forward for the success of the expo.
Asia requested the Union Minister to ensure the presence of the Vehicle Factory at Jabalpur (which is a major manufacturing center for defense vehicles) to benefit the auto component manufacturing units of Adityapur.
Further, defense officials were urged to come to the Expo with a list of import-substitutable items, so that local industries can understand the opportunities for indigenization.
Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth said on the occasion that at present about 17,000 MSMEs are working with the defense sector and this sector has immense potential in the future.
Asia President Inder Aggarwal said that about 50 stalls will be set up in this expo and the industries have been appealed to actively participate in it. This expo will provide a unique opportunity to local industries to explore new markets in the defense sector.
