In the complaint given to the police, the Director of Education said that on February 21 at 12:10 pm, MLA Umesh Sharma Kau and many of his supporters reached his office room at the Directorate of Elementary Education. They had no prior information about this.

The complainant said that at that time in his room, office personnel SP Dabral, Chief Administrative Officer Mukesh Bahuguna and other officers and employees were discussing files related to departmental work.

It is alleged that as soon as the MLA entered his room, he abused all the personnel and asked them to come out. The supporters accompanying him threatened him with consequences if he did not go out.

Following the instructions of the MLA, the personnel went out. As soon as the personnel came out, the MLA asked his supporters to close the door and confiscated his phone.

According to the Education Director, he was alone in the room, while the MLA and his associates were continuously abusing him. Besides, he was also asking for the work of the Government Primary School to be completed before him.

He told the MLA that the matter has been sent to the government and the decision on it can be taken only at the government level. The MLA and his supporters continued to threaten to kill him and kept pushing him.

The door was locked from inside. The sound was going out. Seeing this behavior of the MLA and the hooliganism of the supporters accompanying him, the personnel started gathering outside the chamber and trying to open the door.

Personnel informed the police at 12:37

The director said that in view of the possibility of some untoward incident, the personnel informed the control room at 12.37. After some time of reporting, the door was opened from inside due to force of the personnel and the personnel came inside.

After coming into the room, the employees tried to intervene, but the MLA and his associates resorted to violence and also abused and misbehaved with the women employees. When the personnel tried to save him, MLA Umesh Sharma and his supporters launched a deadly attack and also attacked the personnel who came to his rescue.

Some personnel were injured in the attack. During this period, other personnel from other nearby offices also gathered in his office. Seeing the increasing crowd, the MLA and his supporters tore the office files and also took away some documents.

Throwed chairs in the room, threatened to shoot

The complainant told that the accused picked up a chair kept in the room and threw it on him and other personnel and went out. He suffered serious injuries to his eyes in this fatal attack. After which he was immediately taken to the hospital.

The supporters who came to the office were not satisfied with the fighting that took place in the room and they came out breaking the office furniture and abusing. While leaving, the supporters threatened that now you have been saved, they will not leave you next time. He and the personnel were also threatened to be shot.
