Hindu Raksha Dal workers, who were going to remove encroachment from Innamulla Building, were stopped by the police at Drona Tiraha. Awakening

Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. Once again the activism of political and social organizations has come to the fore regarding encroachment in the city.

Hindu Raksha Dal workers were preparing to reach the spot on Saturday demanding removal of encroachment in Inamulla Building area, but the police administration stopped them by placing barricades at Drona Chowk. After this the organization raised questions on the functioning of the administration.

Hindu Raksha Dal says that there has been encroachment outside Inamulla Building for a long time, about which they have already submitted complaints and memorandum to the administration.

According to the organization, when the administration did not take any action despite repeated demands, they themselves decided to remove the encroachment. In this sequence, the team was moving towards the spot, when the police intervened and stopped them.

State president of the organization Lalit Sharma alleged that anger among the people is increasing due to the inaction of the administration. He said that it is the responsibility of the district administration and the Municipal Corporation to remove encroachment and if action is not taken in time, such cases can become serious.

The police administration was asked to maintain peace on the spot. Officials say that any kind of action can be taken only within the ambit of law and no organization can be allowed to take action on its own without administrative permission.

During this, Hindu Raksha Dal's Sandhya Rajput, Shraddha Rajput, Anupmanand Giri Maharaj, Shivam Maharaj, Sagar, Nitin Kashyap, Garhwal Mandal President and officials associated with Chamoli district were present.

Why are the administration's steps stalling?

This development regarding encroachment has once again intensified the debate regarding administrative action and the role of social organizations. Now all eyes are on what further concrete steps the administration takes in this matter.

The question is also being raised as to why the administration's steps are being halted on encroachment near the Collectorate, Court and Police Office.

Two days ago, Hindu organizations had given a memorandum to the district administration regarding removal of encroachment from Inamulla Building, despite this the administration did not take any action.
