State Bureau, Dehradun. A lot of 'Abeer-Gulaal' of Holi was blown in the State Congress Bhavan on Friday. Senior leaders of the state Congress came on one stage and danced vigorously on the songs of Holyaron.
When State President Ganesh Godiyal held the mike on the stage and started singing 'Mero Kanha Holi Ko Khilaiye', Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, Election Campaign Committee Chairman Pritam Singh, Election Management Committee Chairman Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, former President Karan Mahara and State Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana danced vigorously.
Party workers also danced along with the leaders who were flying colors and dancing on the stage. The Holiyars who came from Rath area of Pauri district added charm to the Holi programme.
Famous folk singer Vikas Bhardwaj welcomed everyone in the program by singing 'Daina Hoyaan Kholi Ka Ganesha'. Abu Rawat Folk Dance Group of Uttarakhand enthralled with the presentation of Garhwali Kumaoni dances.
Ganesh Godiyal wished Holi to the party workers as well as the people of the state. Said that the biggest beauty of the festival of Holi is that whatever happens, it is Holi, we have to end all the prejudices, forget all the bitterness and move ahead with love and harmony.
State Congress Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana, coordinator of the Holi Milan function, welcomed all the party leaders and workers who attended the program with colors. MLAs and former MLAs were present on this occasion.
