Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. On a petition seeking removal of encroachment on the pond located in Badarpur village in Delhi, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) informed the Delhi High Court that the encroachment has been removed.

It was also said that encroachment will not be allowed again around the pond. It was also told that some encroachments have to be removed from the slum and steps have to be taken for rehabilitation policy. However, a bench of Justice Sachin Dutta noted that the DDA's affidavit was not on record.

In such a situation, the court adjourned the hearing till July 8, directing the DDA to present the latest status report. Petitioner Jagpal Singh had filed a petition demanding instructions to remove the encroachment near the pond.
