Information for diplomatic visa was given to the Ministry of External Affairs on the same day. According to sources, the Ministry of External Affairs had informed the UK Embassy for clearance on January 20 itself, but due to the next day being Saturday, there is no work in the UK Embassy. As a result, on Monday, the UK Embassy informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the imposition of visa.
Since UK visa is issued by placing a sticker on the passport. Therefore the delegation had to send their passports to the UK Embassy. The delegation was to leave for Germany on 21 February, so the UK tour was postponed and a four-day visit to Germany was scheduled.
