Jagran correspondent, East Delhi. 30 Feet Road, located in B-Block of Surajmal Vihar in Delhi, has been filled with dirty drain water for the last one week.

Local residents allege that despite complaining several times to MCD and Delhi Jal Board, the problem has not been resolved yet. Due to continuous accumulation of water, dirt and bad smell is spreading in the area, due to which the risk of diseases has also increased. Mosquitoes are also thriving in it due to which people are worried.

Local people say that due to blockage of the main drain, dirty water from the drains is overflowing and reaching outside the houses. Pedestrians and school children are facing a lot of problems due to waterlogging on the road.

At the same time, the situation becomes worse in the evening, when it becomes difficult to sit in homes due to the bad smell. Residents say that if cleaning and drainage arrangements are not made soon, they will be forced to protest en masse.

Mosquitoes are thriving, danger of diseases

Local residents said that there is a danger of diseases due to the dirty water that has been filled in the streets for many days. Mosquitoes born in water are entering homes. One or two children of the colony have also suffered from malaria. In such a situation, the Corporation and the Water Board should solve this problem as soon as possible.
