Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. Anand Parvat Police in Delhi has arrested an absconding accused in an attempt to murder case. The knife used in the crime has also been recovered from him. He has been identified as Dhirendra Maurya of Anand Parvat.
During interrogation, he told that he had stabbed the victim to avenge the attack and to establish his dominance in the area. At present the police is interrogating him and taking further action.
According to Rishi Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central District, an incident of stabbing was recorded in Anand Parvat on November 10, in which two people together attacked the victim. One of these minors was caught on November 11, but the main accused Dhirendra Maurya was absconding and evading police arrest.
A case of attempt to murder was registered and his search was on. Finally, on December 2, information was received that the absconding accused had been seen in Nehru Nagar, Anand Parvat area. On receiving information, the team raided and caught him.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and said that the attack was carried out with the aim of taking revenge and maintaining dominance in the area. On his information, the knife used in the crime was also recovered.
