State Bureau, Ranchi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is once again going to adopt an aggressive strategy regarding tribal issues in Jharkhand. The party will toughen its stand on the question of delisting.

In this sequence, BJP is preparing to present the presence of the President in Kartik Jatra as a big political and social message among the tribal society. Its impact will not be limited to Jharkhand only, but efforts will be made to convey this message in tribal dominated states like Odisha and Chhattisgarh also.

BJP has a clear stand that converted tribals should not get the benefit of tribal reservation. The party is planning to connect social organizations and tribal forums with this demand. Linking delisting to the Constitution and social justice, it will be described as a question of protecting tribal identity.

BJP is trying to sharpen this issue by keeping the legacy of late Kartik Oraon, a senior Congress leader, at the centre. By citing the name of Kartik Oraon and his views, BJP wants to give the message that the demand for delisting is not new, but has been rising within the tribal society for a long time. The opposition may attack it as a political gimmick, but the BJP will present it as an ideological fight.

Extensive campaign with social organizations

In the coming days, there is a plan to take this issue to every village through seminars, public dialogues, tribal panchayats and social forums. The party leadership believes that this will strengthen its ideological hold within the tribal society.

This strategy is considered important in view of the decline in BJP's support base in tribal areas in recent years. By making delisting the main issue, BJP not only wants political polarization but is also trying to reconstitute its traditional vote bank.
