State Bureau, Patna. Questions related to prohibition have now started resonating loudly in the House. This voice echoed in the Assembly on Tuesday and in the Legislative Council on Wednesday.
While participating in the discussion on the budget of the Rural Development Department, RJD Legislative Councilor Vinod Kumar Jaiswal, while mentioning the side effects of liquor ban, termed it as double-sidedly harmful. Urged to review the law.
Said that after the ban on liquor, the consumption of dry intoxicant has increased. The young generation is getting ruined and liquor smugglers are getting rich. Home delivery of liquor is being done. Due to this, revenue is also being lost. Liquor was recovered from the roof of an educational institution in Phulwarisharif.
In such a situation, it has become necessary to assess the actual situation of law enforcement. BJP's Anil Kumar pointed fingers towards RJD on home delivery. While challenging, Vinod said that the government should conduct an investigation. The one who is guilty, the criminal, should be punished. Who has stopped? Anil remained silent on the counterattack.
It is noteworthy that on behalf of the ruling party in the Assembly, Madhav Anand, who is a member of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha with four MLAs, had demanded a review of the prohibition law.
