Vehicles passing through toll amid farmers' demonstration.
Jagran correspondent, Ludhiana. Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Sidhupur announced to make toll plazas free in entire Punjab from 12 noon today. After which the farmers gathered at the toll plaza and the gates were opened. According to the leaders of the organization, this step is being taken to demand making strict laws in cases of sacrilege of religious texts.
The union said that a strict law should be made to give strict punishment to those guilty of disrespecting the holy scriptures of all religions including Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Farmer organizations have decided to hold a statewide demonstration regarding this demand. The farmers union has also announced a protest at Ladowal Toll Plaza in Ludhiana.

Supported the front running in Samana
This movement is also being carried out in support of the front going on in Samana. According to the information, Gurjit Singh Khalsa has been sitting on a 400 feet high tower in Samana for the last 150 days. In his support, various farmers, religious and social organizations have started a morcha at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Chowk, Samana from 24th February.

The struggle will continue until the demands are met
Farmers Union says that their struggle will continue until a concrete and strict law is made to stop the desecration of religious texts. The organization has appealed to make the toll plaza free in a peaceful manner. Security arrangements have been tightened by the administration. Police forces have been deployed in various districts so that no untoward incident happens.
