Samvad Sutra, Jagran, Rae Bareli: A demand has been made to register a case in Rae Bareli against the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP from Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi. S. Vignesh Shishir of Bengaluru has demanded registration of a case. S. Vignesh Shishir has already filed a case in Allahabad High Court, the hearing of which is going on.
S Vignesh Shishir of Nehru Nagar in Bengaluru, through his advocate Vindheshwari Pandey, submitted an application before the MP MLA Magistrate Court under Section 173 (4) of the BNS (Indian Civil Defense Code 2023). He urged the court to order Kotwali Nagar to register a case against Rae Bareli MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in the case of dual citizenship, fake passport and stake in benami companies. In his application, S Vignesh Shishir has accused the Leader of Opposition of having dual citizenship of Britain and India and MP Rae Bareli is the holder of several fake and forged passports. The applicant has also alleged that while being the leader of the opposition, he has provided confidential information of the country to the enemy country. S Vignesh Shishir also alleged that the Rae Bareli MP owns benami companies, which are based in the United Kingdom. On the application of Shishir, the presiding officer of MP MLA Magistrate Court, Dr. Vivek Kumar, ordered to register the case as a misdemeanor and sought report from the police of Kotwali Nagar Rae Bareli police station on the application and fixed the date of hearing on December 5, 2025.
