Raised the issue of not having a separate line despite charging higher fees

There are separate entry fees for foreign and Indian tourists in the monuments protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The entry fee of Taj Mahal is Rs 1100 (including Rs 500 toll) for foreign tourists and Rs 50 (including Rs 10 toll) for Indians. To visit the main tomb, both tourists have to pay an additional entry fee of Rs 200.

Video made in Taj Mahal circulated in internet media

On Saturday, a 34-second video made by a foreign female tourist in the forecourt of Taj Mahal was circulated on the internet media. In this she is saying that there is no separate line for foreign tourists, whereas they are charged much higher entry fees. There is a mess in the Taj Mahal, which is included in the seven wonders of the world, which can be removed, but no attention is being paid to it. While standing in the long queue, the condition of one of my friends and his elderly father worsened.

Tourist's video brought to notice

Taj Mahal's senior conservation assistant Prince Vajpayee said that the video of the foreign tourist is in his cognizance. He has said that he is troubled by standing in long queues. The tourist has not mentioned where she stood in the queue. There are separate queues for foreign tourists at the ticket window and turn style gate. It is possible that the tourist may have had to stand in line for security check or for battery car.

There was talk of providing facilities

Sandeep Arora, President of Agra Tourism Development Foundation, says that while increasing the entry fee of Taj Mahal, it was said to provide facilities to foreign tourists. They were to be given free water bottle, shoe cover and battery car service along with a separate line. Till date, arrangements for separate lines for tourists have not been made properly.

Proposed in Taj Mahal

Another video of Taj Mahal circulated on the internet media on Saturday. A couple is seen in the 11 second video. The young man is proposing to his wife while sitting on his knees and wearing a ring.
