UP Board Secretary gave instructions to district school inspectors
The high school and intermediate examinations of UP Board will start from 18 February 2026 and continue till 12 March 2026. Examinations will be held at 136 centers in the district. The main objective of the board this time is to make the process of examinations and evaluation completely transparent and standard-compliant. In the letter issued by the Board Secretary, concern has been expressed that on the basis of past experiences, it has been seen that some candidates unknowingly or under the influence of misconceptions (such as giving rupees will increase the marks) tuck Indian currency (notes) inside their answer sheets.
Board exams will start from 18th February, will end on 12th March
The Board has clarified that such actions are not only against the discipline of the examination but can also put the future of the candidate at risk. To stop this, all the examination centers of the state have been asked to strictly follow the following guidelines.
The Center Administrator will ensure that the students are informed before the commencement of the examination that placing any kind of unwanted material or currency in the answer sheet will be considered as 'indiscipline'.
Room invigilators have been instructed to keep a close watch on the students during the examination so that no student commits such mistakes.
The amount will be deposited in the treasury
If currency is received from any answer book during compilation or evaluation, it will immediately be deposited in the government treasury as per rules. Information about such incidents will be given to the District School Inspector without any delay, so that appropriate action can be ensured against the concerned student and the centre. The board has made it clear that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in the process of compilation and evaluation of answer sheets.
