Vehicles were seen crawling on the roads in the morning. Passersby were seen trying to get relief from the bonfire. Due to increasing cold, shops in the market also started closing at 8 o'clock in the night. Visibility was recorded at 20 metres. The sun came out for some time during the day, but the sun was ineffective due to the prevailing westerly wind. After that it became cloudy again.
Atul Kumar Singh, senior meteorologist of the Zonal Meteorological Center, said that the maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 20.7 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 11.8 degrees Celsius. A rise in temperature has been recorded due to sunlight. He said that a red alert warning has been issued for two days. There may be further reduction in visibility. There is still a possibility of drop in day temperature.
