Jagran correspondent, Barora (Dhanbad). The grand finale of the MP Sports Mahotsav under Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituency took place on Thursday at Chitahi Football Ground. On this occasion, BJP Jharkhand State Organization General Secretary Karamveer Singh was mainly present. Before the start of the sports competition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address was broadcast on the huge LED screen installed in the ground. After this, the flag was hoisted and pigeons and balloons symbolizing peace were released into the sky.
Wreaths were laid and lamps were lit on the photo of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Wreaths were also placed on the photographs of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. A collective singing of Vande Mataram was presented in the programme. The guests were given a traditional welcome, while fireworks were the center of attraction. Jharkhand's traditional Chhau dance, tribal Kalash dance and band-instrument presentation enthralled the audience. After this, football final matches of men's and women's category were played. In the final match played between the teams of Bokaro and Dhanbad in the women's category, Dhanbad's team won the trophy by one-nil. In the men's category, Bokaro team defeated Dhanbad by one-nil. On behalf of Bokaro, Satyam scored the decisive goal to give victory to the team. In the women's category, Sunita Tudu from Dhanbad made the team the winner by scoring a goal. In the Kabaddi competition, there was a competition between the teams of Dhanbad and Bokaro, in which the Dhanbad team won. Whereas in women's Kabaddi, Bokaro team won the title by defeating Chandankiyari team. Apart from this, many other sports competitions including volleyball, kho-kho, wrestling, chess, yoga were also organized. All the winning participants were honored with prizes. On this occasion, Karamveer Singh said that Narendra Modi, who became Prime Minister for the third time, is working to realize the dreams of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. His priority is to hone the hidden talents in the villages and promote sports. Praising MP Dhulu Mahato, he said that he himself looks like a player and is continuously cooperating in the development of sports. MP Dhulu Mahato said that there is a need to take the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people. Continuous work is being done in the field of sports and education for the coming generation. Through the Sansad Sports Mahotsav, hidden talents will be revealed in villages, streets and localities. He said that due to the apathy of the Jharkhand government, expected development of sports is not taking place in the state. Former MP PN Singh said that the aim of the Prime Minister is to make India a leader in the world in every field. His resolve is to establish India as a developed nation by the year 2047.
Many dignitaries including former minister Amar Bauri, former MP PN Singh, MLA Ragini Singh, MLA Shatrughan Mahato, BCCL CMD Manoj Aggarwal, SIFER Director AK Mishra, ISM Director Vinay Kumar, former MLA Aparna Sengupta, Tara Devi, Savitri Devi, Hariprakash Lata, Ganesh Mishra were present in the program.
