Aditya Dhar's film, which is a mix of espionage and gangster genres, has set a flag in terms of earnings on the very first day. Dhurandhar earned a whopping Rs 28 crore in India on its first day, taking its gross total to Rs 32.40 crore. According to advance booking figures and industry predictions, Dharandhar was estimated to earn between Rs 18 to Rs 20 crore on the first day, but strong 'word-of-mouth' helped push the earnings further.
