Did the heat of the ongoing case against Adani in the US fall on Adani Green? The company had to give clarification; Said this in the filing

New Delhi. The ongoing US SEC case against Gautam Adani seems to be falling on Adani Green Energy. On January 30, Gautam Adani and Sagar Adani agreed to receive summons directly from the US Securities Exchange Commission (US SEC Adani Case).

The American organization had approached the court to bypass the Indian government and send summons directly to Adani. Now Adani himself has agreed to take the summons directly. Considering the impact of this case, the company gave necessary information in an exchange filing on Saturday.

In its exchange filing, Adani Green Energy Ltd said this clarification is being issued in connection with earlier disclosures made in November 2024 and January 2026.

Adani Green Energy said it is not part of the proceedings

Adani Green Energy on Saturday issued another clarification regarding the civil case filed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission against its directors Gautam Adani and Sagar Adani in a federal court in the US. The company stressed that the company itself is not a party to the proceedings and no allegations have been made against it.

In the exchange filing, Adani's company said, "We understand that on January 30, 2026, counsel for the defendants filed an application agreeing to accept service on behalf of the defendants without accepting the jurisdiction of the EDNY and to reserve all defenses that may be raised by the defendants, including defenses related to jurisdiction. We also understand that the defendants have taken procedural steps and filed a motion to dismiss or answer the SEC's complaint. Intend to enter pleas.”

Adani Green Energy said the SEC case is a civil matter in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York and concerns only two individuals in their personal capacities.

Company says both directors have no allegations of corruption

The company stressed that no allegations of bribery or corruption have been made against the two directors. The company reiterated that, as has already been cleared to the stock exchanges, there are no allegations of violation of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act against Gautam or Sagar Adani.
