Hurt by scolding and rebuke from her mother for asking for a mobile phone, a teenage girl committed suicide by hanging herself at home. There was chaos in the family after the incident.
The deceased, Vaishnavi, daughter of Santosh Sah, resident of Lallu Pokhar, was a student of class VIII in Middle School, Belan Bazar. According to relatives, she was not going to school for the last ten days.
In this regard, the school teacher reached home and complained that Vaishnavi was not coming to school regularly and reached only after the mid-day meal bell.
After the teacher's complaint, mother Baby Devi scolded her daughter. After this he stopped going to school. Mother Baby Devi told the police that on Thursday morning Vaishnavi insisted on asking for a mobile phone.
Mother hid her mobile and went to the ghat to take a bath in the Ganga. Meanwhile, the girl hanged herself in her room. When the mother returned from the ghat, she saw him hanging from the noose and started screaming.
With the help of his relatives, he was immediately freed from the noose and taken to Sadar Hospital. Where Dr. Harsh Vardhan, who was on duty, declared him dead after investigation.
The deceased was the youngest of five sisters. Father works as a daily wage laborer in a biryani house located at Neelam Chowk. Whereas the mother takes care of the family by cooking in other's houses.
