DNA Test Of Vijay Along With Rudra In Gorakhpur Priya Murder Case, Permission Sought From Court

Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. The investigation into the Priya Shetty murder case now seems to be reaching a decisive point. DNA test of the deceased's 13-year-old son Rudra and the murdered live-in partner Vijay Sahni will be conducted. PPganj police has sought permission from the court for this. The process of taking samples will be started as soon as the order is received. Police believe that the DNA report will provide answers to many important questions and will strengthen the links of the case.

According to police officials, Rudra reached Gorakhpur by train from Mumbai along with Vijay's elder brother Sanjay Sahni on Saturday. As soon as Sanjay reached the city, he contacted the police. After this, preparations were made for further legal process by keeping Rudra in a safe place. Arrangements will be made to take samples in the presence of doctors, so that there are no objections or technical mistakes. Meanwhile, the matter has become more sensitive at the human level.

Kapoori Devi, mother of murder accused Vijay, flatly refused to keep Rudra in her house. She says that she does not even know the child and this entire episode has mentally shaken the family. In such a situation, she wants to stay away from any new controversy or responsibility. After this refusal, the challenge of providing temporary care to the child has increased before the administration.

The police has given the responsibility of Rudra to Vijay's elder brother Sanjay. Keeping security in mind, the police are in constant touch and the activities of the child are being monitored. The step-sisters have refused to come to the city, so alternative family support is not immediately available.

Under child protection rules, the process of counseling Rudra and knowing his wishes will also be carried forward. CO Campierganj Anurag Singh said that permission has been sought from the court for DNA testing of Rudra and Vijay. The process of taking samples will start as soon as the order is received. Every step is being taken keeping in mind the safety and welfare of the child. Step sisters stopped coming to the city. Inkarpriya's son Rudra, 13, along with his step aunts Kiran Jaiswal and Aayushi Shetty were also supposed to come to the city, but they refused to come. In such a situation, the police has handed over the responsibility of Rudra to Vijay's elder brother Sanjay till the investigation is completed. Sanjay will present Rudra before the police after getting the permission of the court.
