Dog on patient's bed in Sikanderpur CHC, Ballia, viral video exposes health services.
Jagran correspondent, Sikandarpur (Ballia). A video that has surfaced from Sikandarpur Community Health Center (CHC) has exposed the poor condition of government health services. In the video circulating on the internet media, a stray dog is seen sleeping on the beds of patients of the general ward, raising serious questions on the negligence of the hospital administration and the health department.
In the video, many beds of General Ward No. 1 are seen empty. There is a white sheet spread on one of these beds, on which a brown dog is seen sleeping comfortably. The surprising thing is that neither any employee is seen present in the ward nor any system of security or monitoring is visible.
According to the local people, this video is about two days old, which was recorded from a mobile phone by someone present in the hospital and circulated on the internet media. People say that it has become common for stray dogs to roam in the hospital premises, but their reaching the beds of patients shows serious negligence.
Due to this incident, many questions are being raised regarding the cleanliness, security arrangements and infection control of the hospital. There is concern among local citizens about how the safety and health of admitted patients can be ensured in such a situation.
The video circulated is being investigated, necessary action will be taken based on the investigation report.
