UP RTE Admission 2026-27
Education Desk, New Delhi. Under Right to Education (RTE), 25 percent seats are reserved in private schools of Uttar Pradesh for children coming from disadvantaged groups and weaker sections. Now the application process for these seats has been started by the Uttar Pradesh government today i.e. from 2nd February. Any parent who comes from reserved and underprivileged category can apply till 16 February 2026 to participate in the first phase admission process.
Admission process will be completed in three rounds
The process for free admission on 25 percent seats under RTE will be completed in 3 phases. The dates of all the phases are as follows-

Documents required for application
For admission, parents should have caste certificate issued by Tehsildar, residence certificate issued from Tehsil level, voter identity card, ration card, job card in rural areas, passport, driving license, electricity bill and water bill. The weaker section should have a below poverty line cardholder (Antyodaya) issued by the Food and Logistics Department or an annual income certificate issued from the tehsil level. Medical certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer for the child of disabled, HIV or cancer suffering parents/guardian is prescribed. It is mandatory for the orphan child to have a certificate issued from a competent level and for the admission of the child of the parent or guardian of a disability/old age/widow pension recipient, a certificate issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities/Health Department/Social Welfare Department.
