PM Awas Yojana verification: If the name of any eligible beneficiary has not been included in the list under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, then there is no need to panic. There is still a chance to add names. The verification work of names added under the scheme is being inspected at the block level.
In this sequence, on Tuesday, Block Development Officer Devendra Kumar inspected the verification work being done by the Panchayat Secretary and Supervisor. He visited Rampura Mahadalit colony of Ladaura Panchayat and interacted directly with the beneficiaries.
During inspection, some villagers complained that they were eligible for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, yet their names were not included in the list. On this, the BDO noted down the names of such deprived villagers and assured that investigation would be done by matching them with the relevant records.
BDO Devendra Kumar said that it will also be investigated whether the concerned person has received the benefit of the scheme in the past. If not found, the name will be added to the list based on eligibility.
He appealed to the villagers to cooperate with the Panchayat Secretary and the survey team during the verification work and to identify the right eligible person and show them to their houses, so that the process can be expedited. Also said that if any unnecessary problem occurs during verification, it should be immediately informed to the block office.
Housing Assistant, Vikas Mitra and other related personnel were also present during the inspection. The administration says that the verification process is completely transparent and injustice will not be done to any eligible beneficiary.
