Vice Chancellor of Delhi University Prof. Yogesh Singh has been given the additional charge of the post of Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Current Chairman of AICTE is Prof. TG. Sitaram was relieved from the post after his tenure ended on December 20, 2025.
After this, under the order issued by the Union Ministry of Education, Prof. Yogesh Singh has been entrusted with this responsibility. This appointment will remain effective until the appointment of a regular chairman or until further orders.
Pro. Yogesh Singh is the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University since October 2021 and is known as an eminent educationist. Before this, he had also been the chairperson of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). In August 2023, he was also given the additional charge of Director of the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA).
