Vicky alias Mowgli, the wanted accused in the double murder case that took place in the year 2024 in Meham area, and his associate Chandrabhan had an encounter with the Delhi Police, in which Vicky got injured due to bullet injury. The police admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment, while the interrogation of the second accused is going on.
In a major blow to the organized crime network that has been active in Delhi and Haryana for a long time, Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two notorious criminals associated with Himanshu alias Bhau gang after an encounter.
The arrested accused have been identified as Vicky alias Mowgli and Chander Bhan. Both the accused were absconding for a long time in several serious cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion and illegal weapons. The special thing is that a reward of Rs 5,000 was announced by Haryana Police on the main accused Vicky alias Mowgli.
This action was taken on the night of 23 January in Baba Haridas Nagar police station area. According to police sources, a conspiracy was being hatched to commit a major criminal incident in Delhi before Republic Day, which was foiled in time.
Wazir, a resident of Loharu in Meham block, had come on a date in the court during April 2024. After appearing in the court, he started shopping at Bhiwani stand. When Wazir was waiting for the bus to go back to Bhiwani, a series of bullets were fired.
Wazir was shot by two people riding a bike. At the same time, a Delhi number car was parked near the bike, in which four to five people were sitting. In this case, Wazir's brother Ramnivas had given a complaint to the police and got a case registered against the family of Ankit alias Godhu.
Ramnivas told that his family is having a rivalry with Ankit's family. Ramnivas told that Ankit alias Godhu along with his family and friends killed his brother Wazir. Besides, Bablu Numberdar, resident of Kishangarh village was also shot dead.
In this entire matter, Meham police station registered a case and started investigation. At the same time, the police had also declared a reward of Rs 5 thousand on the accused Vicky.
Shot in the leg after encounter
On January 22, 2026, the Crime Branch received reliable and accurate secret information. ASI Suresh Kumar got input that two active and dangerous members of Himanshu alias Bhau gang are present in the western area of Delhi and are planning a major crime.
It was also feared in the information that in view of Republic Day, their activities could become a threat to national security. Considering the seriousness of the information, a special team was immediately formed. On the intervening night of January 22 and 23, at around 1 am, the police team, as part of a strategic plan, set up a blockade under the UER-2 flyover on Dichaun village road from Deer Jump mode.
Meanwhile, a white Hyundai i-20 car was seen coming. As soon as the police signaled to stop, the miscreants in the car tried to run away and seeing themselves surrounded, started firing lethally at the police team.
Accused Vicky alias Mowgli fired two rounds at the police party. One of these bullets hit the bulletproof jacket of Head Constable Sandeep, due to which a major accident was averted. A bullet hit Vicky alias Mowgli's left leg, causing him to fall. After this, the police team, showing courage and wisdom, controlled both the accused.
Himanshu alias Bhau gang's network
Himanshu alias Bhau Gang is one of the notorious criminal gangs of North India. Gang leader Himanshu Bhau is operating from abroad and has more than 20 cases of murder, attempt to murder and extortion registered against him.
The gang is notorious for extortion by targeting businessmen and contractors and also has links with other criminal gangs like the Neeraj Bawana gang.
According to police records, Mowgli was also involved in supplying illegal weapons to the gang. The second accused, Chander Bhan, came into the world of crime in the company of Vicky. The police are also thoroughly investigating his old criminal records.

▪ 14 November 2023: Police station Sampla accused Vicky alias Mowgli of assaulting a person and threatening to kill him. ▪ 31 January 2024: Police station Sampla, along with his associates, entered the house of victim Ashish and shot him. Ashish died on the spot due to serious bullet injury. ▪ 16 April 2024: Wazir and Bablu were shot in the firing incident under conspiracy at the police station. Wazir died on the spot, while Bablu was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. ▪ 27 July 2016: Police station Lakhnamajra, case registered against the accused under the Arms Act for possessing illegal weapons. ▪ 5 August 2017: A serious case related to molestation, house intrusion and POCSO Act registered at police station crossing, Bahadurgarh. ▪ 21 August 2017: Police station Sadar. The involvement of the accused was found in the Bahadurgarh assault incident.
