Vinayak Mishra (50 years) climbed on a high water tank and threatened to commit suicide.

There was a stir in Kokal Mau located in Jagdishpur of Mondh area of the district on Monday when Vinayak Mishra (50 years), an employee posted under Har Ghar Jal Yojana, climbed on a high water tank and threatened to commit suicide. Told that he had not received his salary for four months.
Vinayak Mishra told that he complained about his problem to the officials several times, but till now he has not received even a single salary. Due to financial crisis and mental stress he took this serious step. His action created worry and panic among the local villagers.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the post in-charge and other administrative officers reached the spot. The officials tried to convince Vinayak, but he was not ready to listen to anyone. The villagers also told Vinayak that the problem is big, but taking such steps will not yield any solution.
After a tough struggle of one and a half hour, the officers convinced Vinayak and brought him down. The local administration is now investigating the matter and is trying to ensure that the employees get their salaries on time.
Employees say that if salaries are not received on time, more such incidents may happen. This incident is an indication that the problems of government employees should be taken seriously.
