The strictness of Haryana Women Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia not only removed the sourness in the life of husband and wife, but also helped in joining not only their hands but also their hearts. During the hearing, when the emotional husband expressed his grief before the Commission, the Chairman made him realize his mistake by scolding the parents and the wife. He worked to mend the relationship which was on the verge of breaking during the hearing and on the spot instructed the wife to accompany her husband.

16 out of 20 complaints resolved

Instructed the wife's maternal side not to interfere in their daughter's life in future. The Chairperson of the State Women's Commission also expressed concern over the fact that relatives and loved ones are getting more role in the complaints regarding domestic disputes. There should be restrictions in such cases. On Wednesday, he heard on the spot 20 complaints related to domestic disputes against women of the district at Nuh Mini Secretariat, out of which 18 were resolved. Two cases were kept for further hearing.

Both the parties were called for hearing

During the hearing, a complaint was given to the Women's Commission on behalf of Sabrun of Nai village of Punhana block that her husband Zafar used to beat her and threw her out of the house. Sabrun was married to Zafar of Gulalata on 24 June 2024. The Commission called both the parties for hearing. After listening to both the parties in the hearing in the presence of top police officials, Renu Bhatia sent the people from the wife's maternal side and the husband's side out of the room, after which she talked to the husband and wife.

The husband became emotional and expressed his immense love for his wife and also narrated the entire incident. All the officers and commission present on the spot understood the role of the villainous character created to spoil the case. Sensing the situation, the Commission gave instructions to take the husband and wife from the spot to their in-laws. On the occasion, the Commission not only made the couple join their hearts but also joined their hands and hugged them. Also advised both of them to live together in love from now on.

During the hearing, most of the cases were found to be related to domestic violence, molestation of women, physical and mental harassment and disputes between husband and wife. In many cases, small family disputes were resolved through mutual dialogue.

Renu Bhatia also expressed serious concern in some matters. He said that due to property, business or family rivalry, some people file criminal cases in the name of women by making serious allegations like molestation or rape. Calling it unfortunate, the Commission said that such use of sisters and daughters in personal disputes is extremely worrying for the society.

This problem is being seen in all sections

Commenting on the increasing cases of domestic violence, Renu Bhatia said that in the present times, 'ego clash', lack of communication and family interference are becoming the major reasons for the breakdown of relationships. Be it educated or illiterate, rich or poor, this problem is being seen in all classes, where many times family members come in between and escalate the dispute.

Also, while mentioning the Central Government's schemes like Ujjwala Yojana and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, he said that their objective is to empower and protect daughters, in which the Women's Commission is providing all possible support.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dalbir Singh Phogat, Zilla Parishad member Shweta Soni, District Women and Child Protection Officer Madhu Jain, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prithvi Singh, Ajayb Singh, Jitendra and Abhimanyu and other administrative officers were present.
