Late night accident near Potka while returning from Martyr's Day program in Seraikela. photo awakening
Jagran correspondent, Jamshedpur. The bus of soldiers returning after performing security duty at the Chief Minister's program (Martyrs' Day) in Seraikela met with a horrific accident late on Friday night. Near Potka, a speeding dumper hit a bus full of soldiers from behind.
About 30 to 35 soldiers of Musabani CTC (Constable Training Centre) are reported to have been injured in this accident, out of which 15-20 soldiers have suffered serious injuries. All the injured were admitted to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur late night after first aid.
Screaming noise due to heavy collision
Trainee soldiers of Musabani CTC had gone for security duty of the CM in the Martyr's Day program organized in Seraikela. After finishing duty, around 10 pm on Friday night, when the soldiers' bus was returning back to Musabani, an uncontrolled highway coming from behind near Potka hit the bus.
The collision was so severe that almost all the soldiers sitting in the bus got shocks and many soldiers fell from their seats. There were 30-35 soldiers in the bus at the time of the incident and there was an outcry on the spot after the collision.
MGM sent after being taken to campus
After the accident, the injured soldiers were immediately taken to the CTC campus. After taking stock of the situation there and preliminary investigation, about 15 to 20 seriously injured soldiers were referred to MGM Hospital for better treatment. The treatment of the soldiers continued in the emergency ward of the hospital till late night. An atmosphere of chaos was also seen in the hospital premises.
It is being told that a contingent of soldiers from Musabani Training Center was sent to Seraikela by bus two days ago. When the tired soldiers were returning after VIP duty all day, this accident happened. The police have taken possession of the accident vehicles and started investigating the case.
