DUSU Joint Secretary's Suspension Ended Prematurely, Delhi University Reinstated Him

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. Delhi University administration has terminated the suspension of DU Students Union (DUSU) Joint Secretary Deepika Jha before the stipulated period.

According to the order issued by the University, after reviewing her conduct and behavior, the suspension was revoked with effect from January 7, 2026, due to which she will be able to resume her post.

It is noteworthy that Deepika Jha was suspended for two months in November 2025 for assaulting a teacher in Bhimrao Ambedkar College.

This action was taken on the basis of the recommendations of the inquiry committee constituted by the university, under which he was removed from the post of DUSU Joint Secretary and some sanctions were also imposed.

The order issued by the DU Proctor's Office on Wednesday said that the application submitted by Deepika Jha on January 5, 2026, was considered and the decision was taken after her conduct during the suspension period was found satisfactory. It has been clarified in the order that the suspension has been ended with the approval of the competent authority.
