ED Raids The House Of Cough Syrup Scam Kingpin Shubham-Divesh In Varanasa, Investigation Continues Even After 13 Hours

Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team reached Varanasi on Friday for investigation in the cough syrup smuggling case worth Rs 2,000 crore.

The investigating officers simultaneously entered the ancestral house of cough syrup smuggling kingpin Shubham Jaiswal in Prahladghat Kayasthan Tola, the new house in Badshahbagh and the Khojwan house of Divesh Jaiswal, accused of playing an important role in smuggling, and the Anpurna Enclave apartment of chartered accountant (who keeps the accounts of Shubham's Shelly Traders) Vishnu Aggarwal. The officers' investigation continued till 8 pm.

However, Vishnu Aggarwal is being interrogated and investigated only because he is a chartered accountant. To ensure that there was no hindrance in the investigation, the Enforcement Directorate team had arrived along with the Central Reserve Police Force. During the investigation, the entry of media persons and general public was being stopped.

It was definitely revealed that the ED team checked every corner of Shubham and Divesh's house. During the investigation, even sacks of rice and ration boxes in the kitchen were searched. Kept looking at the trees, plants and pots with cursory glance.

False ceiling and lights installed in the house were seen. They were also knocking on the walls to find out if there was anything like a basement in them. Seized CA's house and took possession of important documents. It was also discussed that people from Jharkhand unit had also arrived along with the ED team.
