Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. JE Suresh Chandra Pal and lineman Rajdev Yadav have been suspended in the matter of shifting five poles of Electricity Corporation in Jungle Ramlakhana under Sardarnagar sub-centre of Chauri Chaura section.
Three tender workers have been dismissed. JE Suresh Chandra Pal is also accused in the case of delay in giving connection to Khorabar branch of Bank of Baroda. In this case also action is decided against them.
In May 2025, Sunil Kumar, Executive Engineer of Chauri Chaura section, got information that some poles in Pakwa Tola of Jungle Ramlakhana had been shifted without depositing the revenue. When the Executive Engineer reached the spot on information, he got information about shifting of 11 thousand volt five pole line.
On 22 May 2025, JE lodged a complaint in the Anti Theft Police Station. Krishna Chandra Verma, Hari Lal and Ramchandra sons of the village Banwari and their cousin Rana Pratap son of Ramniwas were made accused in the case of pole shifting.
JE wrote that these four people had illegally shifted the electricity line passing over their farm without permission and without estimate. The involvement of electricians in the pole shifting case was confirmed.

It was told that the polls had been shifted to April 2025 itself. Four lakh rupees were taken for this. The then SDO Achhe Lal and JE as well as all the employees were aware of this but no one took any action. Three poles were also missing. When the engineer reached the spot, it was found that three electric poles were also missing. The accused had made three poles missing out of eight. In the beginning, a lot of effort was also made to manage the matter. The accused also planned to deposit the money but investigation was started after the strictness of Chief Engineer Ashutosh Srivastava.
