Dialogue partner, Garhshankar. There was an encounter with the police with the accused wanted in the case of robbery in a money changer in Mahilpur and a shop in Hoshiarpur. One accused was injured in this encounter, while two others were arrested by the police.

The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The incident took place in the forest of Rampur Bildon village under Garhshankar police station. As soon as information about the incident was received, SSP Sandeep Malik and DSP Daljit Singh Khakh reached the spot with the police party and took stock of the situation.

SSP Sandeep Malik said that a few days ago, motorcycle riders had looted Rs 4 lakh from a money changer shop in Mahilpur. After this, the team of SHO Mahilpur Madan Singh and SHO Garhshankar Gagandeep Singh Sekhon, led by DSP Daljit Singh Khakh, started searching for the accused.

Meanwhile, one accused Dilabar Singh Jora resident of Shahbazpur, Police Station Rahon, District SBS Nagar was already arrested, while the remaining three accused were absconding. On Saturday morning, some people of the village saw the accused in a suspicious condition and informed the police. On the basis of suspicion, the police chased the accused and set a trap.

When the police signaled the accused riding on the numberless motorcycle to stop, they started firing at the police while trying to escape. During this, the police asked him to surrender, but he fired again.

In this firing, one bullet hit the police vehicle and one hit the bullet proof jacket of the employee. In retaliatory firing by the police, Omkar Singh alias Gora was shot in the leg, who was admitted to Civil Hospital Garhshankar.

Apart from the injured, two other accused Ram Asra alias Shammi and Arman alias Manga have been taken into custody by the police. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had looted about Rs 15,000 at gunpoint from a shop in Hoshiarpur Sadar police station area. Apart from two country made pistols, one country made pistol, four live cartridges and two spent cartridges, an unnumbered motorcycle has been recovered from the accused.
