A hearing was held in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) on Friday in the case of death of engineer Yuvraj Mehta due to drowning in the water filled in the plot dug for the basement located in Sector-150. The court has granted bail with conditions to Ravi Bansal and Sachin Karanwal, employees of Lotus Greens Builder Company in the case.
In the case of Yuvraj Mehta's death, Knowledge Park Kotwali police had registered a case against MZ Wishtown and Lotus Greens Builder Company on the complaint of father Raj Kumar Mehta. Apart from MZ director Abhay Kumar, Lotus Greens builders Ravi Bansal and Sachin Karanwal were arrested and sent to jail.
Advocate of the accused, Bar Association President Manoj Bhati Bodaki told the court during the hearing on Friday that the accused have not committed any crime. He has been falsely implicated. On the other hand, the prosecution officer told the court that the case is of bailable nature. The court heard the arguments of the prosecution officer and defense counsel, and after looking at the case diary and records, pronounced its verdict.
It was mentioned in the order that the crime allegedly committed by the accused is bailable, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there are sufficient grounds for bail. The court has granted bail to the accused on the basis of one surety of Rs 25,000 each and a personal bond of the same amount.
The court has also set some conditions, as per the conditions of bail, the accused will cooperate in the investigation. Will not leave the country without the permission of the court. The prosecution will not tamper with the evidence during investigation. The accused will have to take permission from the court to travel abroad.
