England Refused To Play Warm Up Match, Team Is Behind 0-2 In The Series

England will be eyeing a comeback.

Adelaide, ANI: The third Ashes Test match between Australia and England will be played at Adelaide Oval from December 17. Meanwhile, according to a report in The Sydney Morning Herald, England refused to play a warm-up match against Australia A before the third Test. This match could have been held on a bigger ground, possibly the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), famous for its fast pitch.

England instead chose to focus on a shortened Ashes tour schedule, resulting in them trailing the series 0-2 so far with three Tests remaining. During pre-tour talks more than a year ago, Cricket Australia offered England a regular opportunity to play Australia A ahead of the first Test in Perth. However, England instead decided to fly straight to Perth and play an internal trial match.

The third match of Ashes 2025 will be played at Adelaide Oval from 17 December. Australia team is currently leading 2-0 in the series. In such a situation, England will have to make a comeback in the series. Australia, on the other hand, will be eyeing a hat-trick of wins.
