Jagran correspondent, Chandigarh. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted bail to an accused involved in the murder of a youth in Ram Darbar last year. Ravi Kumar, resident of Ramdarbar, was in jail for about one and a half years.

Advocate Manjot Singh Gujral said that Ravi is not visible in the CCTV footage obtained by the police. Apart from this, police star witness and eyewitness Varun also refused to identify the accused.

On this basis he demanded to be granted bail. At the same time, the government lawyer opposed the bail application, but after hearing both the parties, the High Court approved the bail application of the accused. Earlier, the bail application was also rejected by the Sessions Court.
