Jagran correspondent, Orai. On Friday night, Kuthund police station in-charge Arun Kumar Rai died after being shot with a service pistol. Female constable Meenakshi Sharma came out of his room screaming and ran away from there. After this, the police station in-charge's wife Maya Devi had filed a case of murder against the female constable.

On Friday night, female constable Meenakshi Sharma, resident of village Dandupur police station, Falwadi, Meerut, came out of her residence shouting that they had run away from there. In this entire case, the police had taken Meenakshi into custody the same night on the basis of her mobile and other evidence. On Saturday, a case of murder was registered against Meenakshi on the complaint of Maya Devi, wife of the late police station in-charge.
After presenting her in the court on Sunday, Meenakshi was sent to jail. Superintendent of Police Dr. Durgesh Kumar said that Meenakshi has been suspended after being sent to jail for 14 days. Now the SIT team is investigating the entire matter thoroughly.
