Jagran correspondent, Shahjahanpur. Police arrested Veeresh Singh's three nephews and two brothers accused of killing him over a land distribution dispute. Veeresh Singh, resident of Khamaria village of Gadhiya Rangi, lived with his nephew Prashant Singh in South City of Chowk Kotwali area.
Here Jamaur used to run a flour mill in the industrial area. Viresh and Prashant had gone to their village on Sunday. Veeresh was shot dead at some distance from the village. Prashant had told the police that there was a dispute regarding land with brothers Sanjeet, Pradeep, Vipin, father Awadhesh and uncle Naresh.
Due to which these people first hit his car with Thar and then shot uncle Veeresh dead. An attempt was made to crush Prashant with the car.
Prashant told that 13 bigha garden was purchased in the name of his father. The money was borrowed from a person but father and brother were not returning the money. On asking for money, they were assuming rivalry. Because of which he was murdered. Police arrested all five accused.
Awadhesh kept misleading the police
Awadhesh kept misleading the police for several hours. He told the police that he had reached the spot on receiving information about the dispute, whereas Prashant told the police the truth. Said father Awadhesh was present at the spot at the time of murder.
