Samvad Sutra Jagran, Barsana. There was a huge crowd of devotees in Barsana on Saturday and weekend. There was such a huge crowd of devotees for the darshan of Radharani that all the arrangements broke down. According to an estimate, more than 1.5 lakh devotees had darshan of Radharani. The situation worsened many times due to crowd from the temple to the streets of Barsana.
No space to even step on the stairs
During the Shringar Aarti in the temple at around 8.30 am on Saturday morning, the entire temple complex was filled with devotees. There was no space left even to step on the stairs of the temple. SSP has deployed 70 policemen in Barsana on New Year, out of which 28 are deployed in Radharani Temple. But on Saturday only four to five policemen were seen at the temple. Due to the crowd, both the stairs of Sudama Chowk were filled.
There was no space left to step even in the surrounding streets beneath the temple. The crowd pressure was highest from 5 pm to 6 pm. Temple committee receiver Sushil Goswami said that there was a huge crowd since Saturday morning. The temple road was made one way. Nearly one and a half lakh devotees visited.
Storm of devotion started rising in Govardhan

Get CCTV cameras working properly
SDM Prajakta Tripathi said that the safety and convenience of the devotees is the top priority during the New Year fair. For this, CCTV cameras have been installed on the fair area and parikrama route. The Development Authority and the Electricity Department have been directed to maintain the lighting system on the 21 kilometer long parikrama path, so that darkness does not become a hindrance in the faith of the parikramas. Additional sanitation workers have been deployed to maintain cleanliness.
