State Bureau, New Delhi. On Sunday also, fog troubled the cities of NCR including Delhi. At some places it was recorded as medium and at other places it was recorded as dense. The Meteorological Department had also issued a yellow alert of dense fog for Sunday. An official of the Meteorological Department said, 'From 9 pm on Saturday night, the visibility level at IGI Airport was less than 1000 meters, which was in the category of light fog. It fell to 500 meters at 3 am, 400 meters at 7 am and 300 meters at 7 am. Similarly, 'visibility in Safdarjung was 300 meters at 5:30 am and it reduced to 200 meters at 8 am.'

According to Mahesh Palawat, Vice President of Skymet Weather, 'From Monday, the direction of easterly winds will change to north-westerly, hence the effect of fog and moisture will also reduce.
Still waiting for the harsh cold
Half of the month of December has passed, but the harsh winter has not yet started in the cities of NCR including Delhi. Dr. Naresh Kumar, senior scientist of the Meteorological Department, said, 'The increase in winter depends on western disturbances. Due to this, dry cold north-westerly winds reach Delhi and areas of North-West India.
There has been no active western disturbance yet this season. For this reason, cold wave has not been recorded yet in NCR and surrounding areas including Delhi. Dr. Naresh Kumar says - During the next one week, the minimum temperature in Delhi may increase by two to four degrees Celsius. Because of this the weather will become more pleasant. We will have to wait for the cold wave also.
