Jagran correspondent, Varanasi. Chowk Police will present National President of Azad Adhikar Sena and former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur in the Special Court on Friday. On November 8, Ambrish Singh Bhola had filed a case against him in Police Station Chowk for making false allegations against 'X' on the basis of fabricated evidence. After the appearance, the police will take further action as per the court order.
At present, he has been brought from Deoria and kept separate from the prisoners in the Central Jail. Ambrish Singh Bhola, resident of Badi Piari of the city and honorary member of VDA Board, had filed a complaint in the police station Chowk against Amitabh Thakur, National President of Azad Adhikar Sena and General Secretary Nutan Thakur, resident of Virat Khand Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
In this, in a post on 'X' on November 30, it was mentioned that he had allegedly been falsely accused of involvement in a criminal case on the basis of fabricated evidence. In this case, Chowk Police took Amitabh Thakur from Deoria to Varanasi Central Jail late on Thursday evening.
ACP Dr. Atul Anjan Tripathi said that apart from the two named, unknown residents of Chowk are also accused. Chowk police has registered a case against him under sections 196, 229, 356 (2), 356 (3) of BNSS 2023.
