Former soldier who gave kidney to his wife.
Jagran correspondent, Mainpuri. The former soldier, resident of Bewar area, has sacredly fulfilled the sacred relationship between husband and wife and the promise of seven rounds. He has donated one of his kidneys to save the life of his ailing wife. He told that it is my duty to save my wife's life without any hesitation and hence I have fulfilled this duty. People are appreciating his work.
Fulfilled husband's duty without hesitation, getting appreciation
Former soldier and SP District Secretary Ashok Singh Chauhan, resident of village Shyampur Bhatpura in Bewar area, currently lives in Kharpari on Bhanwat Road of the city. His wife, former head Madhavi Chauhan, was ill for some years. Upon examination, it was found that both his kidneys were damaged. Even after a lot of treatment, there was no relief, so the doctor asked for kidney transplant. After this, former soldier Ashok Chauhan contacted Medanta Hospital.
Son was ready to give kidney to mother
Ashok's son Himanshu Chauhan is currently posted as Lance Naik in the army and daughter Shreya Chauhan is posted as Lieutenant in the army. When the children came to know about their mother's illness, both of them agreed to donate a kidney to their mother, but Ashok said that at the time of marriage, while taking seven rounds, he had promised his wife to support him throughout his life. That's why he will keep his promise of seven rounds.
Kidney given on 2nd December
On December 2, he donated his kidney to his wife at Medanta Hospital. While giving information on Monday, he said that he and his wife are completely healthy. Donating a kidney does not cause any problem. He has inspired the people of the district that if the life of their loved ones is in danger then they should definitely save their life by donating a kidney.
