Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarnagar. Fraud has been caught in the bail case of Ahad Rana, son of former BSP MLA Shahnawaz Rana. After investigation, CO City has registered a case against unknown accused in Civil Lines police station. In the bail verification, fake signatures were made from Khalapar police station in-charge to outpost in-charge. The police is now searching for those who got the bail verified.
On December 5, 2024, the DGGI team of the GST department had raided the Rana Steel Factory of former MP and SP leader Kadir Rana at Wahalna Chowk. Here a case of indecency with women officers and assault with the team was registered, in which nine people including former MLA Shahnawaz Rana were accused.
After this, the Civil Lines Police sent former MLA Shahnawaz Rana to jail and investigated against him. His son Ahad Rana, former BSP MLA Mohammad Ghazi, resident of Samadhi Bijnor, along with his driver and servant were accused in the case of delivering mobile phone to the former MLA while he was in jail.
Ahad was arrested, after whose bail was approved, the documents of two sureties were sent to Khalapar police station on 11 November 2025. After getting the bail verified, Ahad was released from jail on 12 November 2025. Now bail fraud has been caught. A complaint was given to SP City Satya Narayan Prajapat, on which CO City and ASP Siddharth K Mishra have investigated.
It became clear that the bail was verified using fake documents of the real sureties. In the bail verification, fake seal and signature of Khalapar police station incharge Mahavir Singh Chauhan and outpost incharge were put.
The name of the post in-charge was also found wrongly mentioned on the document. On the basis of these facts, CO City has filed a case against unknown people in Civil Lines police station.
SP City said that an attempt has been made to mislead the court by getting the bail verified using fake documents. Based on the facts found in its investigation, a case has been registered against unknown persons.
