Jagran correspondent, Panipat. A big case of fraud in the name of investment has come to light in the district. Vicious thugs grabbed Rs 1 crore 56 lakh from more than 20 people on the pretext of doubling their money in a year. The victims have now sent a complaint to the Haryana Director General of Police, pleading for justice and protection of their life and property. A case has been registered on the orders of DGP.

Mukesh, a resident of Naraina village of Samalkha, told in his complaint to the police that about a year ago, persons named Satpal, Sonia, Sandeep, Samudra, Jitendra and Vijay Sivah formed a gang and planned to cheat innocent people. These people propagated that if someone invests 50 thousand rupees in their company, he will get back one lakh rupees in just one year. Matlauda police station has registered a case and started investigation.

It has been alleged in the complaint that Sonia, a member of the gang, used to go to villages and show big dreams to women and persuade them to invest. The fraudsters cleverly took cash from the victims instead of bank transactions. Some invested Rs 20 thousand and some up to Rs 5 lakh in the hope that their money would double.

The victims allege that with their hard-earned money, accused Sandeep, Sonia and Satpal have built a luxurious house worth crores of rupees in Ramnagar on Jatal Road and are now roaming in luxury cars. When victims asked for their money back, they were misled for a long time and are now receiving death threats.

Other victims including Mukesh and Vijay told that the accused Vijay Siwah had publicly threatened to shoot them. The accused have clearly said that no one should come to them asking for money.
