Dozens of people were present in the building, most of them managed to get out themselves, but an 80-year-old elderly woman got trapped in the building itself. Meanwhile, the Model Town police station showed bravery and head constable Raj Kumar took the elderly woman out without caring for his life. Police also rescued a dog.

Initially four fire tenders arrived, seeing the fire increasing, six more tenders were called to the spot. The fire could be brought under control at 9.55 pm. The cause of the fire has not been revealed yet, but short circuit is suspected.
Booth caught fire in Maharaja Agrasen College
A fire broke out in a milk booth in the premises of Maharaja Agrasen College, Rohini Sector-22. The fire was brought under control with the help of fire extinguishers in the college even before the fire brigade vehicles arrived. The fire department received information about the fire at 4:36.
There was a fire in a booth in the college premises. Booth operator Deepak Kumar told that he had closed the booth and gone home. All the stuff has been burnt to ashes in the fire. After receiving information about the fire, police and two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot.
