Fugitive Sombir Motta Deported From America To India, Big Success Of CBI And Interpol

Wanted fugitive Sombir Motta deported to India.

Digital Desk, New Delhi. CBI, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs, succeeded in bringing back wanted fugitive Sombir Motta from the US on 10 February 2026.

Motta is wanted by Haryana Police for murder and use of fire arms. He has been deported to India and Haryana Police is taking his custody.

Last year a notice was issued against Motta

Earlier, on the request of Haryana Police, CBI had published a red notice against Sombir Motta through Interpol on 11 February 2025. CBI coordinated with NCB Washington to find Sombir Motta and deport him to India.

Red Notices published by INTERPOL are sent to all law enforcement agencies around the world to track wanted fugitives.

More than 150 criminals were brought back

CBI, as the National Central Bureau for INTERPOL in India, coordinates with all law enforcement agencies in India through BHARATPOL for assistance through INTERPOL channels. In the last few years, more than 150 wanted criminals have been brought back with coordination through INTERPOL channels.
