Full dress rehearsal of Beating Retreat today.
Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. In view of the full dress rehearsal of the Beating Retreat ceremony, Delhi Traffic Police has made massive traffic arrangements in Vijay Chowk and surrounding areas on Tuesday, January 27. According to the traffic police, special traffic restrictions will be in place during the rehearsal from 4 pm to 6 pm. During this period, Vijay Chowk will be completely closed for general traffic.
Apart from this, there will be a ban on vehicular movement on both sides of Krishi Bhawan via Raisina Road towards Vijay Chowk, Dara Shikoh Road, Krishna Menon Marg and beyond Sunehri Masjid in both directions of Vijay Chowk. Traffic will also not be allowed on the duty path between Vijay Chowk and Rafi Marg-Duty Path crossing.
Police appealed to the people of Delhi
The traffic police has appealed to the general public and drivers to use alternative routes like Ring Road, Ridge Road, Aurobindo Marg, Madrasa T-Point, Safdarjung Road-Kamal Ataturk Marg, Rani Jhansi Road and Minto Road to avoid any inconvenience.
