A sudden fire broke out at the house of farmer Arshdeep Singh, son of Sinder Singh in village Bhamme Khurd of Mansa district at around 2 o'clock on Saturday night, destroying farming machines and goods worth lakhs of rupees. Due to the fire, the Zondaier tractor parked in the house was burnt to ashes, the combine harvester parked in the house was also badly damaged, the new tires of the combine harvester kept in the house were also burnt to ashes.

Apart from this, the straw kept in the store made for animals was also burnt to ashes in the fire, apart from this, there was a lot of damage to the verandah and shed. The victim farmer told that other items kept in the house were also burnt. As soon as the fire was detected, nearby people were informed and with the help of the people the fire was brought under control. But the cause of the fire was not known.

Tools were taken on loan

Farmer Arshdeep Singh told that he had taken farming tools on loan, with which he used to work in the fields of other farmers and pay the bank installments. He has suffered a huge loss due to the fire and has sought financial help from the government. As soon as information about the incident was received, ASI Avtar Singh of Jhunir police station reached the spot and started taking action after inspecting the incident site.

AAP's Halka media coordinator Gurmel Singh Bhanma, who reached the spot, said that the loss report will be prepared as soon as possible and sent to the government and the farmer will be given financial assistance from the government. He assured farmer Arshdeep Singh of help from the government.
